En 1322 il appartenait \u00e0 Pierre de La CHARPRAIE, chevalier&nbsp;;\nen 1581 \u00e0 Jehan du FAUTRAY\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les Ursulines de Tours poss\u00e9daient pr\u00e8s de ce fief une m\u00e9tairie appel\u00e9e \u00e9galement \u00ab&nbsp;La Charpraie&nbsp;\u00bb compos\u00e9e de 74 arpents de terres labourables qui fut vendue nationalement le 25 juin 1791. Une partie du ch\u00e2teau fut d\u00e9molie vers 1914.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.tourainegenealogie.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Charpraie1-1024x769.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-612470\" width=\"386\" height=\"289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.tourainegenealogie.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Charpraie1-1024x769.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.tourainegenealogie.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Charpraie1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.tourainegenealogie.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Charpraie1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.tourainegenealogie.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Charpraie1-1320x991.jpg 1320w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 386px) 100vw, 386px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avant la Seconde Guerre mondiale la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 appartint \u00e0 la famille PERINEAU, industriel fabriquant notamment les ferrures Spicer pour prot\u00e9ger les semelles en bois. C\u2019est cette famille qui vendit en 1948 \u00e0 la Ville de Tours pour cr\u00e9er un centre de loisirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> \u00ab&nbsp;<strong>La Petite Charpraie<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00bb est un hameau relevant de \u00ab La Charpraie&nbsp;\u00bb. Le terme \u00ab&nbsp;charpes&nbsp;\u00bb semble venir de \u00ab&nbsp;carpere&nbsp;\u00bb cueillir, arracher, r\u00e9duire en charpille. Il semble avoir un lien avec l\u2019ancien travail du tan qui \u00e9tait compos\u00e9 de morceaux d\u2019\u00e9corce de ch\u00eane r\u00e9duits en poudre vers le IX<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> si\u00e8cle. Les forestiers semaient dans la chesnaie des f\u00eanes donnant des for\u00eats avec une plantation d\u2019arbres tr\u00e8s dense. En cons\u00e9quence les arbres tr\u00e8s serr\u00e9s poussaient droits et n\u2019avaient presque pas de branches dans les parties basses du tronc. Ancien fief.<br>Il s\u2019agissait probablement d\u2019un \u00e9tablissement religieux dirig\u00e9 par un chapitre de chanoines et repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par un prieur, nomm\u00e9 par le chapitre de l\u2019Abbaye et qui desservait la chapelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette chapelle existe encore aujourd\u2019hui, sous le vocable de Sainte Berthe. Convertie en grange en 1791, elle subsiste comme servitude de ferme. <br>C\u2019\u00e9tait un village de 39 habitants en 1876.<br>On ignore par qui et \u00e0 quelle \u00e9poque elle fut fond\u00e9e. La messe y \u00e9tait c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9e en 1787.
