Les nouvelles villas sont le plus souvent des monast\u00e8res, car le butin de guerre appartient au roi qui le redistribue \u00e0 I&rsquo;\u00c9glise pour fonder de nouvelles abbayes et de nouveaux prieur\u00e9s \u00e9tablis sur le mod\u00e8le de la villa gallo-romaine.<br>Les villas gallo-romaines comportaient la maison proprement dite avec le \u00abpatio\u00bb central\u00a0; jouxtant la maison, le \u00ab courtil \u00bb ou jardin, \u00ab\u00a0I&rsquo;ouche \u00bb ou verger fruitier, \u00ab l&rsquo;\u00e9table \u00bb ou les services de l&rsquo;\u00e9curie appel\u00e9e \u00ab cour de la maison\u00a0\u00bb. <br>Ensuite, les maisons de communs ou du personnel de service \u00ab Mesnils \u00bb ou \u00ab Basse-Cour \u00bb.<br>Ce groupe d&rsquo;habitations se trouvait dans un lieu clos avec un foss\u00e9 et un mur pour emp\u00eacher les incursions des b\u00eates noires et rousses de la for\u00eat.<br>C&rsquo;\u00e9tait jadis en 1876, un village de 25 habitants selon M. Ceux-ci s&rsquo;appelaient entre eux : \u00ab Tr\u00e8s Cher Fr\u00e8re Robert&nbsp;\u00bb lors de la tenue du Chapitre. Bernard de CLAIRVAUX, l\u00e9gat du Pape, leur donna la R\u00e8gle et approuva leur ordre.&nbsp;<br>\u00abOTERIE&nbsp;\u00bb ou \u00ab&nbsp;OSTERIE&nbsp;\u00bb vient de \u00ab&nbsp;OST&nbsp;\u00bb, arm\u00e9e et de \u00ab&nbsp;AN&nbsp;\u00bb, lances.
