Le nom \u00ab&nbsp;<em>bois<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb indique des arbres destin\u00e9s \u00e0 la charpente de qualit\u00e9&nbsp;; il d\u00e9signe un lieu couvert d\u2019arbres. Elle compte 3126 habitants en 1968 et 7357 en 1982, soit 30 % d&rsquo;augmentation depuis 1975.
